Exploring the fleeting movement of leaves, shifting light and the changing atmosphere of the earth. Layered washes of yellow, green, pink and blue create an impression of movement, memory and impermanence, with botanical forms emerging and dissolving across the surface.  Rather than depicting a specific landscape, the work captures a momentary sensation, the passing of a breeze, a fleeting change in light, or the brief impression of nature before it shifts and disappears. The canvas provides a permanent surface for experiences that are inherently temporary and fleeting, allowing a transient encounter with the world to be preserved through paint.  In this way, the artwork monumentalises what is fleeting, giving lasting physical presence to something that exists only for a moment.
