Memories of the Bush

Memories of the Bush – Original Australian Art by Tara Lewis

Memories of the Bush is an acrylic abstract painting inspired by the natural beauty and quiet atmosphere of the Queensland ranges. Botanical impressions of leaves and wild shrubs emerge through expressive brushwork and layered texture, capturing the organic forms, movement, and atmosphere of the Australian bushland.  A harmonious palette of delicate pinks and soft greens reflects the changing light across the landscape, from sunlit foliage to the muted tones of distant ranges. The gentle interplay of colour and texture creates depth and movement, evoking the fleeting impressions and treasured memories formed while wandering through native bushland.  Rather than portraying a specific location, this contemporary Australian artwork captures the feeling of the bush.  Perfect for collectors who appreciate contemporary Australian art, abstract botanical paintings, Queensland landscape-inspired artwork, richly textured surfaces, and nature-inspired interiors.
