Grace – Original Australian Art by Tara Lewis - Framed

Grace is a quiet embodiment of strength, dignity, and survival. Once subjected to a life of hardship, she now lives in peace, safety, free, and deeply respected. In this work, I sought to capture not only her physical beauty, but the spirit of a true warrior.

Working in charcoal allowed me to explore the depth and contrast within her story, a  calm presence against the weight of her past. Every mark reflects a study of her resilience and the calm authority she carries today.

It was an honour to spend time observing Grace and translating her essence onto canvas. She now roams freely at Jacobs Ridge Animal Sanctuary, a place of refuge where her story has turned toward healing.
