The Valley of Promise reflects the ever changing essence of the landscape’s past, present and future.  It is a response to the hills, shifting horizons and the interplay of light.  This painting is richly textured and layered, built up with acrylics, hand torn collage elements, and marks etched back into the surface.  The result is work of immersive pieces that evoke the layered memories of a place, inviting viewers to pause and connect with the quiet beauty of the horizon.  This painting exhibited at Rockhampton Museum of Art at the State of the Art: Reimagining Queensland event.
